“Just An Egg”
The initial subject I picked didn’t work so well as a macro. Hunting for the right replacement led me to an egg, a very basic subject indeed. I used a close-up lens in front of the 50mm to allow me to focus at a smaller distance. A neat tool when you don’t have a dedicated macro lens. I was going for a very simple composition and placed the egg right smack in the middle of the frame. I think it would look better printed, as the textures are quite nice at full resolution. The shadow bothers me a bit though, not that I had the time to shoot it again. I took this photo within the minute preceding midnight.
