“Arches At Night”
The arches of the Reformed Church of Bronxville were a subject I always wanted to capture, especially at night, but I never had my tripod with me when we would walk past it. Since this is day 100 of my project 365, I wanted to make it a little special and finally take this shot. Of Gothic inspiration, most of the architecture is less than a hundred years old. Thankfully, the more modern lamp fixtures were eclipsed by the light they produced. The handicapped button, however, wasn’t, a testimony to our modern times. I almost wish there was less light to paint a more atmospheric picture, something more befitting the place and truer to days now long gone.
