Project 365 – Day 115
November 28, 2009
“Sunset On The Long Island Sound”
The sun is setting around 4:00 PM these days, making its sight a difficult one to capture during the workweek. We arrived just in time for that one. I took it in Manor Park, a favorite location of ours. What you can see at the bottom of the rocks are mussel beds, a good indicator of a healthy ecosystem. I’m grateful for the two ducks passing by as I was taking the shot… they’re balancing the photo a little. If only they came closer, and there were nice clouds… Well, those things were out of my control. I did the best I could with what was there. I’m curious though… is there anything that bothers you in this shot?

Love the colors and the composition! I wonder how the shot would look if you could exclude the duck that is exiting the frame. Just curious
@Sujatha
Thank you Sujatha. That duck was too fast for my timer, I’m lucky I got it at all. I agree with you, it would probably have been better a few seconds earlier or later. There’s something else that needed to be cropped on the left, I was wondering whether it was obvious or not.
@Aurélien Desmars
