“Jasmine’s 2nd Birthday”
I took quite a few photos of Jasmine as she was blowing out her two candles. She repeated it five times with the same enthusiasm we know her so well for. Out of all the photos, this one really stuck out. I didn’t even think twice about choosing it over the others. The only retouching I did was to burn some areas of the background in post, so as to not distract from Jasmine and her cake. Caroline made the cake. In our daughter’s words, it was indeed “yummy!”

This is a keeper. Perfect lighting and a great expression, it doesn’t hurt that she’s beautiful either.
I would’ve darkened the area around the hand on the bottom left as well – distracted me a lot. Also I think cropping a bit off the top might make for a nice, tight composition
J’avoue être fan de ta photo. La composition est parfaite et l’expression sur le visage de ta fille colle tout à fait à la situation. Une de tes plus belle photo jusqu’ici .. Le niveau augmente sévèrement .. ^^

Thank you Sujatha. I love it as well but sometimes I wonder how much of it is related to the fast that she’s my daughter. I ended up eating almost half the cake
