Day 387 – Want To Be Reborn In A Petri Dish?

We were walking with a friend in Chelsea when I stumbled upon this tag. Mixing up reincarnation and in vitro fertilization in one single sentence wasn’t something I expected to read. While I do not believe in reincarnation, I guess I wouldn’t mind being proven wrong… as long as the content of the petri dish isn’t some sort of amoeba. Come on, I deserve a little better… I hope. Whoever tagged it, thank you. You chose a really nice spot, I’m a fan of the rusty metal door.

Day 386 – Catharanthus Roseus

I wasn’t that inspired… but a walk in the garden is a sure way to fix that. Flowers! As you have probably noticed by now, I don’t take many flowers photographs. If I had a macro lens, things would probably be different, but it’s not a subject that I particularly affectionate at the moment. Don’t get me wrong, I love flowers. Just not through my lens. And I don’t have the budget for a macro lens. Ah, I’m just rambling on now.

I didn’t remember the name of these flowers until I googled “white flowers pink center”. Not a bad search expression as the first result led me right to its name. What I didn’t know, or failed to remember, are its medicinal properties. If you are interested in reading more about Catharanthus Roseus, wikipedia will quench your thirst for knowledge.
